Eastern Sierra The aspen trees have spectacular fall color all along the creek and canyon. This photo was taken at the trailhead at 8,000 feet in October 2014. It’s a peaceful spot to meander around and sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek.
Roaring River, Rocky Mountain National Park The day was cloudy and rainy, which gave this scene a soft, pastel-like look. This river is appropriately named, as if flows swiftly over and around a huge number of boulders here at Alluvial Fan.
Dosewallips River, Olympic National Forest, Washington I loved the gentle light filtering through the forest and highlighting both the mossy river bank and the flowing water. The Dosewallips flows from Sentinel Peak and Anderson Pass to the Hood Canal. The name is from Indian legends about a man who was changed into a mountain near the river's source.
