Merced River, Yosemite Valley As I walked in the snow along the shore of the Merced, I saw this raft of autumn leaves upstream. It quietly came my way and slowed its journey as if posing for my photo. I liked the feeling of an impressionist painting. The streaks of white are wet snow flakes on their way down.
Fern Spring, Yosemite Valley What a graceful and peaceful scene this was, in November, 2010. Most people pass this by at that time of year because the water flow is so reduced, but I liked the little cascade among all the leaves.
