Dosewallips River, Olympic National Forest, Washington I loved the gentle light filtering through the forest and highlighting both the mossy river bank and the flowing water. The Dosewallips flows from Sentinel Peak and Anderson Pass to the Hood Canal. The name is from Indian legends about a man who was changed into a mountain near the river's source.
Rocky Brook, Olympic Peninsula, Washington These rapids are just downstream from the large horsetail falls. I enjoy the river here as much as the falls.
Lower Rock Creek, Valley, Eastern Sierra, California Aspen leaves in their fall colors give colorful highlights to the water in the creeks of the eastern Sierra.
