I have visited this spot several times in both the late spring and the fall. This is a springtime photo, when the water runs higher and creates wonderful ripples. The early morning reflections are from the sky and the surrounding mountains and trees.
Flood at Roaring River, Rocky Mountain National Park
These rapids at Alluvial Fan seem to hint at the coming flood. It felt as if the river was telegraphing a sense of urgency and impending danger.
