Mount Rainier National Park High cirrus clouds formed in the late afternoon on what had been a clear day on the mountain. The ice in the clouds lined up to form these halos. The lower one never did fully surround the sun, but it put on its own show nevertheless. I've never before seen a halo so bright and dramatic.
