Upper Tipsoo Lake, Mount Rainier National Park Lupines and magenta paintbrush color the near shore shortly after sunrise. The cloud over the mountain hung around the longest time even as the others dissipated. Mount Rainier often creates its own clouds and weather.
Mink Lake, Olympic National Park A beautiful sunrise on a quiet morning. I had been up early in my tent, hoping to hear loons on the lake. Maybe I did. The lake was named by a park employee because there was no place honoring the mink.
