11,854 foot high Painted Lady mountain reflected in Lower Rae Lake, on the John Muir trail in Kings Canyon National Park. These lakes were named in 1906 for Rachel "Rae" Colby, wife of the Sierra Club's first secretary William Colby, who advocated for the creation of Kings Canyon National Park. The infrared camera brought out the features of this early morning scene.
