White Pocket, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument This hard-to-reach area is full of patterns, sounds, shadows, and ancient history. You can enter the area along a path originally carved by dinosaurs. The sandstone formations are the remnants of an ancient sand sea that stretched from modern day southern California to Wyoming.
Aoraki appeared briefly after a day of rain and gale force winds. The storm departed with a glorious sunset, and at one point, the entire Hooker Valley was suffused with a golden glow. This pano is composed of 25 vertical shots. .
