Sunset, Grand Canyon National Park We spent a leisurely couple of hours watching the sun paint the scenery from Desert View. A telephoto lens brought out the lines of the canyon formations receding into the distance.
View over the Lillian River Valley, Olympic National Park You go up to the mountains hoping for one thing and you find another. In this case, I hoped for wildflowers and found a glorious painting courtesy of the lowering sun. Clouds swept along the ridgelines, changing the scene from moment to moment.
Lake Tasman, Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, New Zealand Momentous in all its manifestations and huge in the face of the glacier. Yet always transitory. A scene that can never be viewed twice.
