Moonrise Over The White Mountains; view from near Mono Lake, California Wispy clouds and the gentle light of the last of the sunset made for a peaceful scene. The desert vegetation of the Owens Valley and Mono Lake areas always fascinate me. They can appear dull and brown in mid-day light, but beautifully colorful at other times
Autumns Colors In Lee Vining Canyon, Eastern Sierra, California A handheld double exposure makes this photo look more like a painting.
Sunrise, Eastern Sierra from the Owens Valley near Bishop, California I was driving back to town after spending a couple hours photographing the sunrise from a vantage point above the Owens River. These clouds and the light on the mountains caught my eye and I quickly took several photographs out the window of the car. The light was gone before I could get out and explore more closely.
