Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado This lone dandelion was standing amidst other wildflowers in Moraine Park. I stacked three exposures focusing only on the seed head itself. It feels like the seed head was just floating in the air.
The name is from the French for lion's tooth. It may be a weed in lawns and among agricultural crops, but I always appreciate the appealing structure of the seed heads, as shown here. It is a symbol of love and faithfulness. The blue color is a reflection from a blue light source.
