We appreciate both the huge flower heads and the seed heads shown here. In our garden, they rise above the colorful leaves of the Japanese painted fern. We let the seed heads stay around long into the summer.
Favorite garden friends in the shade. They have happily grown beneath a potted maple next to our deck. I took this photo looking straight down, hoping to make an image that looks like a tapestry.
