Autumn Light in Cook's Meadow, Yosemite Valley Early morning light in Cook’s Meadow in the fall is great for bringing out the form and color of the dried grasses and flowers. These cow parsnips are at the eastern end of the meadow, right along the road. This light lasts for about an hour, so there’s time to explore a variety of compositions.
