Lower Rock Creek, Owens Valley, California
Rock Creek starts in the high Sierra and flows about 30 miles to the Owens River. About halfway along its journey, it turns south and is named Lower Rock Creek. This is a wonderful stretch to hike along, especially in the fall with the yellow aspen leaves reflected in the water. Here, the blue sky adds another color to the palette. Flowing water can be so graceful.
